election of the new composition of the Supervisory Board of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation for January 2024
The NGO ‘Coalition of Cultural Actors’, registered just eight days before the full-scale invasion, was unable to implement all of its plans due to the urgent need to respond to the situation and act here and now.
With the support of the International Renaissance Foundation, CCA organised a round table discussion on Cultural Policy and Civil Society, aimed at synchronising the agendas of stakeholders working in the field of culture: government authorities, key state institutions, donors and cultural actors; identifying current challenges and opportunities; to synchronise interaction and establish communication.
At the strategic session that followed the round table, more than 30 cultural actors representing active communities and institutions unanimously agreed that the CCA needed to be relaunched in order to protect the interests of communities, develop a single voice in interaction with state authorities, and ensure effective cross-sectoral communication.
Coalition consistently monitors and responds to challenges in the field of culture, unites and engages the community in decision-making and implementing positive change.
